The project will provide a consistent, accessible business support programme across the South East LEP (SELEP) area to help businesses optimise their use of resources and adopt eco-innovative and low carbon solutions in ways that improve business performance in terms of resilience, profitability and competitiveness while at the same time contributing to the protection and preservation of the environment.
Glass for Europe state in their Windows of Energy Infographic (Snippet Below) that “100 million tonnes of CO2 could be saved annually thanks to energy efficient windows”.
According to independent studies, new Low-Emissivity (Low-E) coated glass can increase the insulation performance of double-glazed units considerably.
So even buildings that have upgraded from single glazed to uncoated double glazed windows in the past, can now benefit from Low-E glazing, to become 2.5 to 5 times more energy efficient.
With this in mind, if you are taking measures to make your business more carbon friendly or if you sell products to reduce carbon emissions, such as energy efficient Windows, Doors & Glass, and your business is based within the South East LEP, you may be eligible for the LoCASE grant.
